PRESIDENT/FOUNDER

Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Kyra Charise McIntyre~Bennett and I am I am your Founder/President/Chief Chair of "Let's Have A Heart Foundation." I founded this Organization in the year 2012 alongside our Vice President because we saw the need to help others was greater than ever. I love people and always had a soft spot in my heart for those in need. I was born and raised in a city called Compton in the state of California. I grew up in an upper middle-class neighborhood where families stuck together and helped one another, back when adults agreed that it took a village to raise each kid. As a kid growing up, I did not know that poverty was even a thing. It wasn't until I was bused to middle school that I realized everyone was not as fortunate as others. Since then, I made up my mind that something needed to change. There is a place in Downtown Los Angeles called "Skid Row." This is where I first witnessed homelessness. It brought me to tears to see human life living as though they are unloved or as though they do not exist.
I thought, where are the people that should be helping!? But to my surprise nothing was being done, and no help was on the way. "Skid Row" use to be confined to the downtown area of Los Angeles, but now not only has it spread throughout the city of Los Angeles, but it has spread to the surrounding cities as well. People are homeless eating out of trash cans, no way to bathe or use the restroom so they urinate while sitting on the sidewalks, they have place to sleep at night due to overcrowded shelters. People overlook homeless those that are homeless and think "why don't they get a job like everyone else!" Oh, but if it were only that simple! Life is hard, a lot harder than it used to be and a lot of working-class people are now hungry and homeless.
I know I am only one person, but I have faith and a strong belief that if we come together and "Have A Heart" things will change for the better. My role in this organization is EVERYTHING! I am very hands on with every single thing down to the tiniest of details that take place within this organization, it is my baby! I am extremely dedicated and passionate about what we do and who we help and I have put board members in place throughout the organization that share the same goals for the future of it. I focus on the core functions of the organization to enable it to achieve its long-term vision and goals. Other areas of focus include strategizing, financing, board management, fundraising and program delivery. I hope you will join myself and my team as we set out to change the world and make a better, safer place to live.

VICE PRESIDENT/COFOUNDER

My name is Michael Bennett, and I am the Cofounder/Vice President/Vice Chair of "Let's Have A Heart Foundation." I first fell in love with the idea when Kyra and I went downtown and walked those streets and talked to those that were living there in the most inhumane conditions. Right then and there I knew we had to do something so Kyra and I started to talk about a plan to do feedings 5 days out of each week. Things happened and life took me to another state, and I was unable to physically help in the downtown are. Kyra kept at it and presented her ideas to me and fell in love with the organization because of her. Her heart is like mine and our need to help those in need is similar in so many ways. I saw her vision and I saw it so clear, and I understood what it was going to take to get it up and running like a well-oiled machine but the faith I have in the abilities of my fellow Board Members, staff members and our "HEARTBEATS" that lend their helping hands to get out in the field daily and make a change in so many lives is astronomical!
If we can gain the support of the community as well as our elected officials, we can do great things in this world. My focus in this organization is to help lead our team to success. I will be guiding and evaluating our team members as well as our board members and staff. I will plan, direct, oversee and coordinate operations and activities within the organization ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations as well as cost-effective systems meet the current and future needs of the organization. I am a backup leader to our board President so that the board is never without leadership. It is a pleasure to serve on this wonderful board of this outstanding foundation, and I thank you for being a part in some way!

CHEIF EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Za'Khari Christina Kayshawn Daniels-Bennett, and I am the "CHEIF EXECUTIVE SECRETARY CHAIR" for "Let's Have A Heart Foundation." My job is great because I love helping others and when our Founder showed me her passion for bringing this foundation to its feet, I felt like I had to be a part. Ever since I can remember I have felt the need to look out for others and be an advocate for those without a voice and being a part of the great things that we have about to unfold through this wonderful works is my way of showing that.
My area of focus is on being a conduit for communication between board members. I will proactively be collaborating with board members to set up meetings, give proper notice of any and all meetings, and properly distribute materials such as agendas and minutes. I will maintain diaries and arrange appointments, prioritize workloads. I am in charge of the hiring of an event venue, maintaining effective records and uphold the legal requirements of governing documents. VICE SECRETARY

Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Za'Khaiiah Lliane' V'Shawn Daniels-Bennett, and I am the "Vice Secretary Chair" for "Let's Have A Heart Foundation." Being the "Vice Secretary Chair" is very rewarding. I have a big heart for those less fortunate and when our Founder showed me her passion for doing the same, I got involved right away. This world we live in today needs "DO~GOODERS" every single day.
This organization is one of a kind and I am so proud of the work that we do and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us as we give. My area of focus is on being a vice assistant conduit for communication between board members to set up meetings, give proper notice of any and all meetings as well as promptly distribute all materials such as agendas and minutes in the absence of my executor. I will maintain diaries and arrange appointments, prioritize workloads. I am second in charge of the hiring of an event venue, maintain effective records of all events. I am so excited for what the future holds for the communities in which this organization serves.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Rosiland Jane Jones-Hargress, and I am the "Chief Financial Officer" of "Let's Have A Heart Foundation." I first fell in love with the idea of nonprofit organizations when my Brother Tony R. Jones lost his life abruptly. I myself started a nonprofit organization in his name called "TRJ Memorial Scholarship Foundation" because he devoted his life to the betterment of children and their education. He himself had an organization called "Black Men Reaching Back" where he and his volunteers would take young inner-city youth that had no father, and they became the father figure as they coached pop warner football took them to the Million-Man March and so much more. He also started and published a weekly newspaper for high school kids that taught them journalism early on. I admired those things so much in my brother, so it was only befitting that in his passing that I started a nonprofit in his name. We helped send kids to college that had a dream to go but who's grades would not otherwise allot them the opportunity.
When our Founder came to me about the idea to helping people other than self, I knew right away I had to be involved. I know she is dedicated to seeing this through as she has always helped people other than self. As the Chief Finanancial Officer my focus will be on managing the financial operations of the organization ensuring the nonprofits health and sustainability. This role oversees ALL financial reporting, analysis and compliance requirements. I will be keeping track of cash flow (in and out of accounts), risk management, managing the budget, negotiating loans and lines of credit as well as overseeing investments. PROGRAMS COMMITTEE CHAIR

Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Ernest James Hargress Jr., and i am the "Programs committee Chair" for "Let's Have A Heart Foundation." Being the "Programs Committee Chair" is right in my lane as I am a union worker and put together different events and programs all of the time. I understood the assignment when our "Founder" came to me and told me about her mission. It is overwhelming the number of misplaced Veterans and Families there are in the world. I have faith in the abilities of my fellow board members and this foundation that we are a part of as well as the communities that we serve.
My areas of focus begin with an ongoing and organized effort to provide service and support where needed. Programs committee is a big part of the foundations structure. I will help the "Projects Manager" and the "Programs Team" overcome challenges in the work and ensure the program stays aligned with the organization's strategic goals. Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Zaharias Jerome McIntyre Jr., and I am the "Programs Director" for "Let's Have A Heart Foundation". I came to know the great works of the organization by way of our "Founder". I see how dedicated she is to making sure that change is possible. I too have a heart for those in need and would love to see everyone have a piece of the American Deram of home ownership and to be an Entrepeneur which will in turn boost our economy. I understand the vision of our organizations founder and I see it helping millions of people in need.
As the Programs Director I will be focusing on overseeing program development, seek grant proposals, manage projects, oversee budgets, direct all departments of the nonprofit to ensure what they are doing is in line with its purpose as well as its mission, manage program and direct program coordinators and volunteer coordinators who in turn manage staff and volunteers or as we love to call them "HEARTBEATS" for fundraising projects and beyond. I will also oversee the use of technology support program growth and manage marketing and communications le: media and social media.
I will facilitate positive relations between the programs team, the public and other departments within the organization. GOVERNANCE

Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Tamesha Monique Franklin. and I am the "Governance Committee Chair" of the organization. I first fell in love with "Let's Have A Heart Foundation" because it's a mirror of who I was. The Founder and I have been best friends since grade school. When she showed me the Bio and the mission statement, I was all the way on board with being a board member. I have a heart for those in need of assistance. I was once where those people are and I know the dangers that lurk around those corners. I've seen the thigs that go bump in the night.
Now that my life has changed, I also know the beautiful Blessings that flow on the other side of those struggles. My focus in this organization is truly working towards its mission and saving the members of the communities that it serves to its fullest potential. The "Governance Committee Chair" provides consistent oversight, accountability and checks and balances that can ensure that we reach our goals and remain sustainable for the long-term. I will also focus on overseeing management, finances, and quality. I will focus on building community relationships and putting procedures in place to keep the organization on track. Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Ashley Latrice Dixon, and I am the "Fundraising Committee Chair" for the "Let's Have A Heart Foundation". I first got on board with this organization seeing someone I am a close friend with be so extremely passionate in building something special for a worthy cause. I come from a long line of "GETTING IT DONE" and I don't plan on slowing down or stopping now! Fundraising is HUGE in any organization and so my place in this Foundation is no easy task, but I am truly dedicated and committed to "GETTING IT DONE!"
As Fundraiser Committee Chair my focus will be to direct the boards fundraising planning and activities, and direct and lead the fundraising committee. I will manage monthly meetings and promote leadership within ALL departments of this organization. I will also develop annual fundraising strategies (e.g.-merchandise sales, special events, sponsorship opportunities, etc.), including our fundraising needs. I create the fundraising calendar, review fundraiser analysis, create communication plans, Thank and Acknowledge Donor and Sponsorship gifts. Hello, DO~GOODERS, my name is Tony Ray Jones II and I am the "Events Committee Chair" for the "Let's Have A Heart Foundation". Being the in charge of events is cool because I am an artist myself and I put together events, showcases etc. all the time. I understood perfectly well when our Founder came to me and told me about her mission. It is pure genius how we will merge FUN with MISSION and utilize our references to raise funds for such amazing people. I have faith in the abilities of the board in which I serve selflessly as well as this Foundation that we are a part of as well as the communities that we serve.
